Green Beanery is an unusual coffee company. Its profits support Third World development; it offers more varieties of green coffee beans than any other retailer in the world; it conducts research and publishes in major periodicals on coffee matters; it maintains an extensive coffee encyclopedia; it is one of Canada’s largest sellers of Bodum, Bunn and Rancilio equipment; and it is Canada’s most popular coffee website and one of the world’s, according to Amazon’s Alexa matrix.
Green Beanery owns Canada’s largest coffee equipment retail store—a 2,650 square feet store, with more than 100 feet of frontage, at the corner of Bloor and Bathurst, one of Toronto’s most famous intersections. The Green Beanery store is unique: It houses a cafe and a roastery that offers 90 varieties of roasted coffees—more than any other roastery or coffee shop in the world—many of them organic and fair trade coffee varieties.
All of the profits from the Green Beanery go to supporting the work of Probe International.
